Frequently Asked Questions By Brides & Grooms

The Basics

We have been in the DJ business since 2005.
We are a locally owned family business. This is not a part time hobby for us it is our business that we take very seriously! When you book with SuperStar Entertainment, you are guranteed one of the owners will be the DJ-not a part-time employee. Customer service and satisfaction are our number one goals! You hire us to make the wedding you have always wanted a reality.
We have done more weddings than we can count over the course of eleven years!
No! When we book a wedding, we put our whole focus on the couple for that entire day!

The Music

Our music library is very extensive! We have all types of genres to appeal to the wide variety of cliental we serve. We carry a 3 TB hardrive for our music. To put it into prespective, one terabyte can carry 17,000 hours of music-and we have three! We also have over 2,000 songs in our iTunes library and update that weekly.
Of course! We would be happy to give you ideas on songs to use! We have noticed that songs with a personal touch or meaning for the Bride or Groom make for great moments!
Yes, usually! Most of the time we do handle all of the announcements but at some venues they prefer the wedding coordinator to handle them. Ultimately, the decision is yours! Pricing & Payment

Pricing & Payment

Each event pricing does vary! We always include travel time, set-up, break-down, emcee services, wireless microphone, customized playlist, consultation, early arrival, and we provide all our own equipment to every event!
Yes! The contract will have pricing information as well as what will be included for your wedding.
We do not start charging overtime until 20 minutes past our contract time. We understand that sometimes things do not go as planned and you may need an extra 20 minutes to complete your timeline. After the 20 minutes of grace has expired, we charge $100 for each additional hour.
We do require a $100 deposit due at the time of booking to hold and reserve your date. The remaining balance can be paid on or before the wedding date.
The $100 deposit is fully refundable with at least a fourty-five (45) day notice. This will give us the chance to open the date up for someone else. With less than fourty-five days notice the $100 depsoit becomes non-refundable since the date was held and will be harder to fill with short notice.
“How much are you” is the number one question we get and it is probably the hardest questions to answer. Some factors that drive pricing is the cost of the equipment and the level of experience. Cheap DJ’s are usually cheap for a reason. Some DJ’s may cost a lot, while others are incrediably less. Do not make the mistake of booking your DJ based on price alone! Tipping is a nice way to show that we went above and beyond your expectations. It is appreciated but not necessary.

Logistic

As a general rule we will arrive sixty to ninety minutes before our start time. We may arrive earlier if we need to set-up in two differenct locations for ceremony and reception. Break-down will be quicker-roughly thirty minutes if we are allowed to park close to load up.
Absolutley not!
We believe that in order to be at our best we must refrain from consuming any alcohol! We are both non-smokers so that is not an issue!
Yes! We have our equipment fully insured and we also carry liablity insurance.
